ReplyPennDOT announced that it's preparing for the "mixed-precipitation winter event" that is set to hit the area tonight and tomorrow. Officials said crews will begin pre-treating and anti-icing the roadways Tuesday afternoon through the evening.
"Other preparations occurring today include checking equipment to ensure mechanical readiness and mounting plows on trucks," PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi said in a press release. "Adequate salt and winter maintenance materials are on hand. Crews and salt trucks will remain out in full force overnight through Wednesday as long as needed."

ReplyPaula, I remember interviewing a staff member at Forbes Road Career and Technology Center in Monroeville. ReplyI chose this question because, when I went to school, high schools offered many vocational tracks as well as college prep. Today, I see too many people with college degrees who are underemployed or students at the college level who might be better served with a career path that doesn't involve a college degree. I'm curious about what you think.

I apologize for the error and confusion. I have only been covering this area for two weeks and I'm just learning the area. I have changed the photo. It is the Scott Boulevard Kmart.
