Debby Perry is a mother of 3 hooligan girls ages 3, 6 and 9 and self-described "hot mess" of a mom. She simultaneously caters to the unreasonable demands of her 3 year old while holding conference calls hiding in her bathroom. The daily grind as a three parent mom slash work from home business woman has provided blog fodder for more than 8 years on her blog SupahMommy. (www.supahmommy.com) She began blogging in 2005 as means to share family "happenings" when she returned to her hometown here in the Burgh after a career in VA as an educator. Her family blog quickly turned to an outlet for humor and her honest view of parenting connected overtime with thousands parents nationwide. Her parenting road has been one filled with potholes and speed bumps but is one that connects with many. She has the ability to write pieces that are "spit out your coffee funny" as well as heart wrenchingly touching. Most notably her recent piece, "I Dare You," in response to the Pittsburgh Zoo Tragedy, was a viral writing piece recognized by Star 100.7 and Y108. It touched the hearts of many worldwide.

Her spin on "mommying" involves the NOT SO Super Mom elements. She is able to fully ignore and leap over 2 unfolded baskets of withering laundry in a single bound to pursue more interesting tasks, like Facebook. Pour sugar filled juice into a sip-pee cup for the 100th time in a day and she personally knows all of the employees at Chik- Fil A. Her attempts at cooking are often an epic fail and if it doesn’t' involved, grilled cheese, pizza or spaghetti- dinner is alarming.

Her former blogging recognition led to the creation of Macaroni Kid Robinson here in West Pittsburgh when she joined Macaroni Kid as publishing Mom in 2010 simply to find a means to write locally. She sorely underestimated the potential of Macaroni Kid and to this day stares wide eyed at what she's helped to create alongside her team of brilliant sisters.

Setting her blog aside to build Macaroni Kid she instead focused on developing a local community resource for parents in the area and continued to write candidly on Macaroni Kid Robinson. Her writing continued to connect to parents in the West Pittsburgh area and overtime two of what she likes to believe are her "biggest fans" and former Macaroni Kid readers, Kim and Chris came aboard as co/owners.

Debby has turned what was one original Macaroni Kid publication in Pittsburgh into 4 publications on her personal team. She also works collaboratively with 4 additional Macaroni Kid publications that have come about since the start of the first publication. Together they are a stellar team that is recognized for its tenacious attitude and ability to provide an excellent resource for hyper-local communities. The number of large Pittsburgh venues that work successfully with this team are endless and continually growing. It is Debby's belief that it's because Macaroni Kid is a unique opportunity to target a select audience, Moms.

Debby was recently recognized as Macaroni Kid Publishing Mom of the Year 2012 out of over 400 nationwide publishers. Many of her writing pieces are touted as "brilliant" by National Macaroni Kid and she is continually recognized for her excellence in all areas. Her dedication to community and giving back have led to incredible community partnerships that she is most proud of. She comes to work each day at Macaroni Kid, loving every, single, aspect. In 2011 she provided business mentoring to over 30 new Macaroni Kid publishers nationwide and currently writes hilarious portions of Macaroni Kid National North Pole edition each holiday year.

Debby is immersed in the brilliance of social media and understands the value of Twitter and Facebook. Debby is the face of Macaroni Kid HQ's monthly twitter parties using her blog handle @supahommmy. for the past 3 years to write and host over 35+ large name, brand building twitter parties. Her @supahmommy twitter handle reaches thousands and parties have included National Advertisers such as DreamWorks Animation, OtterBox, Egglands Best Eggs, Zappos, Disney Hyperion, DSM Nutrition, Disney Jr. and more.

Debby's background and experience in business are built from her career as an educator that focused on developing relationships with not only the children she taught but the parents that stood by so proudly. She quickly learned that networking is key and that good businesses are built similarly, on solid relationships. She is a Burgh Mom tried and true having grown up on the east side of Pittsburgh. Raised by a single mother she is determined to teach her girls the "I am woman hear me roar", call. She firmly believes in setting an example for all children though at times she stumbles as a mom. Her ability to pick herself up by the bootstraps, dust herself off and carry on bigger and better--- have driven her business into the success zone.

She is a regular television contributor on KDKA Pittsburgh Today Live and has been told that her dynamic personality and enthusiasm are infectious. She was also told by Kristine Sorenson that her ideas were so amazing she should be on the Today Show....a message that is now set to play as her ring tone. Her writings have heart, perfectly timed delivery and a witty sense of humor that directly connects to so many parents. Who she is on paper, a hot mess, directly correlates with who she is in person, a hot mess that is successful! She offers honesty and a raw look at all things parenting, marriage and business and this is why people love her. She occasionally blogs instead of doing laundry, in fact does pretty much ANYTHING to get out of laundry, but mostly enjoys writing on Macaroni Kid for her local readers. She's available for autographs digitally as well as in person.
