The mother and son were selected as the winners for the contest and will receive two tickets to see ‘The Nutcracker” at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre this month.
A family from Scott Township was selected as the winners for Chartiers Valley Patch’s ‘Nutcracker Tradition’ contest. Eric Barr posted a photo of his son, Jared, with a large nutcracker at the Sweet Shoppe & Nut House in Collier Towns Square. Jared and his mother, Marion, will go to see a performance of ‘The Nutcracker” at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre later this month. The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's production features more than 210 costumes, 190 performers—including more than 150 students ages 7 and older—and turn-of-the-century Pittsburgh-themed set design.
