Body of Jimmy Slack Found in Pittsburgh

The body of Jimmy Slack, who had been missing since Dec. 7, was found Monday in the Ohio River.

The body of Jimmy Slack, the Bridgeville man who had been missing for more than a month, was recovered Monday afternoon on the shore of the Ohio River, multiple police sources confirmed. Pittsburgh police were called to an area near the Carnegie Science Center at around 1:30 p.m. and the description of the person’s clothing matched what Slack was wearing when he disappeared Dec. 7. Pittsburgh police Sgt. Joe Gannon said the crew on a boat that was pulling up to the shore noticed the body and called 911. Bridgeville police Chief Chad King notified the family at their Bridgeville home shortly after. “It was very emotional,” King said. "I think they were still holding out to hope that he would come home.” Police are waiting for an autopsy to …

Family Increases Reward to Help Find Jimmy Slack

Up to $5,000 is available to anyone who has information on the missing Bridgeville man.

A month after Jimmy Slack disappeared from a concert in Pittsburgh, his family is increasing the financial reward available to anyone who has information about the missing Bridgeville man. “Any lead is a good lead,” said Maureen Shields, who is Slack’s sister. “We’re still at this. We’re not giving up.” The family decided to increase the reward from $1,000 up to $5,000 in an effort to get any information that might help them find the 25-year-old Bridgeville resident. Slack went missing on Dec. 7 after attending a String Cheese Incident concert at Stage AE on the North Side. Since then, there has been very little information about how he disappeared and Pittsburgh police detectives said few clues are surfacing. Shields said the family …

Still No Clues in Bridgeville Man's Disappearance

No one has heard from Jimmy Slack since he went to a concert in Pittsburgh on Dec. 6.

Investigators still have very few clues in the disappearance of a Bridgeville man nearly a week after he vanished while at a concert in Pittsburgh. Jimmy Slack went missing after a String Cheese Incident concert on Dec. 6 at Stage “AE” on the North Side, but police and his family are still working hard to find any information about where he might be located. “We are pretty much exhausting everything we can do as a department,” Bridgeville police Chief Chad King said, adding they’ve assigned two officers to the investigation. “We’re working our tails off on this.” King said he is especially concerned because the 25-year-old's cell phone has been off since the time he went missing and he has not used any of his bank cards. “It’s just a bad …

Police are searching for a 25-year-old Bridgeville man who went missing early Wednesday morning after a concert in Pittsburgh. Jim Slack was last seen at Stage “AE” when he was separated from a friend while they were at a concert inside the North Side venue. His sister, Maureen Shields, said his family is desperately searching for him and asking the public for help. They’ve already had radio stations alert the public, and friends on Facebook are making others aware of his description. “It sure is awesome everyone is getting the word out and trying to help,” Shields said. “This is very scary and we just want to find him.” Bridgeville police said Slack is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds, has blond hair and a light beard.
