Damon’s at Collier Town Square is closed again, so we’re asking our readers what you want to see go there if the restaurant doesn’t reopen. It’s the second time in less than two years the restaurant has reorganized, and many of the chain restaurants across the region are closing. The televisions, tables and chairs are all gone, leaving questions about whether Damon’s will ever reopen here. A "For Sale/Lease" sign was placed on the front door Thursday morning. Collier Town Square has the perfect location on Route 50 near Thoms Run Road and boasts a wide variety of shops. There’s a coffee shop, Chinese food restaurant, spa, bar and plenty of eateries, among many other businesses. There currently are about 10 empty storefronts inside the shopping center, although new places such as Hollywood Tans and Smoke Cigar Shop have opened or are coming soon. The openings might be ripe for aspiring small business owners hungry to get a foothold in a growing economic area. So what do you think should go into the vacant shops at Collier Township Square?
