Collier Police Chief Expects ‘Normal Day’ at CV High School on Friday

Police Chief Tom Devin insisted parents should not be afraid to send their children to Chartiers Valley High School despite threatening rumors that are spreading at school. Will you send your child to school Friday?

Collier police Chief Tom Devin said they’re continuing to investigate rumors of violence at Chartiers Valley High School on Friday, but insisted parents should not be afraid to send their children to school. “We’re taking it as a legitimate threat and we’ll be acting on it that way,” Devin said. “But I would send my kids to school. I don’t see any reason not to send them from what I’ve hearing.” He said investigators are following other leads with more students apparently spreading rumors through Facebook, text messages and email.
