The Fresh Market Looking to Fill Two Dozen Positions

The Mt. Lebanon grocery store's 'Interview Day' is next week.

The site of the old Roth Carpet building in Mt. Lebanon has quickly gone from a pile of rubble to a beautiful brick building on the corner of Route 19 and Connor Roads. The building is a new European-style specialty grocery store, called The Fresh Market, and officials there are looking to fill more than two dozens positions. A variety of jobs are available. Construction crews are making big progress on The Fresh Market grocery store planed for Route 19 in Mt. Lebanon.

Construction crews are making big progress on The Fresh Market grocery store planed for the corner of Washington and Connor roads 19 in Mt. Lebanon. The building’s structure is up and crews are now working to finishing the exterior. Demolition crews razed the old Roth Carpet in January to make way for the new grocery store. The Fresh Market grocery store offers “an old-style butcher shop and fish market, bakery, produce and floral stands.” A company spokeswoman said a lease has been signed for the location, but an opening date still is unknown. The old Roth Carpet building in Mt. Lebanon is finally being demolished to make way for The Fresh Market grocery store. Demolition crews were at the property along Route 19 this past week ripping down the existing building with excavators and hauling off the debris in dump trucks. The property will be the site of The Fresh Market grocery store that offers “an old-style butcher shop and fish market, bakery, produce and floral stands.” A company spokeswoman said a lease has been signed for the location, but an opening date has not been set. She could not comment on the construction timeline, but said it is expected to begin relatively soon. New Grocery Store Coming to Mt. Lebanon

The Fresh Market on Washington Road will be the first in Pittsburgh and the third in Pennsylvania.

The Fresh Market will open its first store in western Pennsylvania. Mt. Lebanon commissioners gave final approval with a unanimous vote Tuesday night for the gourmet supermarket chain to demolish the old Roth Carpet store on the corner of Route 19 and Connor Road and construct a new building. The Fresh Market representatives have said that construction will begin as soon as possible. The Fresh Market's application had been under consideration since last summer. Mt. Lebanon officials had concerns about traffic. Two new driveways will be built along Connor Road. One driveway will be exit-only. Traffic will be prohibited from making a left turn from the main entrance point from 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends. The …

The Fresh Market Could Be Coming To Mt. Lebanon

The Fresh Market, a gourmet grocery store, could be coming to Route 19 in Mt. Lebanon.

The Fresh Market could soon be coming to the South Hills. The gourmet supermarket chain is seeking approval from Mt. Lebanon commissioners to demolish the Roth Carpet building at the corner of Washington and Connor roads and build the new grocery store. The Fresh Market received a recommendation for final approval from the Mt. Lebanon Planning Board on April 24. Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the plan on June 12. If The Fresh Market receives final approval in June, representatives said construction would begin as soon as possible. It would be the first store in the Pittsburgh area and the third in Pennsylvania. The Fresh Market's application has been under consideration since last summer.
