Residents Ask Scott Twp to Repair Swallow Hill Road
Scott Township officials estimate it will cost $1.5 million to reconstruct the Swallow Hill Road
Barbara Radvansky was embarrassed last August when her family came in from out of town for a wedding and they had to drive down Swallow Hill Road in Scott Township. “It’s like riding a washboard,” Radvansky said. She lives on Swallow Hill and told Scott Township commissioners at their Tuesday night workshop meeting the road need to be repaired now. “I don’t need to tell you how badly it is in disrepair,” she said. “It’s more than an eyesore. It’s a danger. Please do whatever you have to do to get it fixed.” The commissioners discussed taking out a loan for the road, but are still unsure how long that process will take or how much the repairs might cost.
