Share Your Special Graduation Party Ideas!

Do you know where to get decorations with your school's colors? Specialty cakes? Signs for the yard?

Graduation season is quickly approaching, and parents of high school seniors are already planning special parties to celebrate. Local bakeries, party stores and other businesses offer school-color cakes, signs announcing the graduation, balloons and sometimes novelties, such as a multi-serving sandwich baked into the shape of the school mascot. Eat’n Park Celebrates Penguins Home Opener with Free Smiley Cookies

Eat'n Park is giving away free Smiley Cookies today in honor of the Pittsburgh Penguins home opener at Consol Energy Center.

Eat’n Park is giving guests something to smile about Wednesday—especially if they’re wearing Pittsburgh Penguins gear. To celebrate the delayed start of the National Hockey League season, Eat’n Park is giving away free Smiley Cookies to anyone wearing Pens gear to the restaurants on Wednesdayto celebrate the home opener. Wednesday also is the first home game of the season for the 2-0 Pens. To qualify for the free black and gold Smiley Cookie, made especially for the 2013 hockey season, any form of Penguins attire is acceptable. Eat'n Park Wins Best Practice Award

Everyone's favorite Smiley cookie restaurant was honored for hospitality.

People Report, a human resource analytics company, and sister company Black Box Intelligence of Lawrence honored Eat’n Park Hospitality Group with a 2011 Best Practices Award during a national conference held in Dallas earlier this month. Eat’n Park, which has a location on Washington Pike in Kirwan Heights, was one of only four companies across the country to receive the Best Practices Award, which is given annually to restaurants that show best-people practices in relation to turnover, hourly and management retention, workplace diversity and community engagement and corporate responsibility. Eat 'n Park Celebrates a "Smiley" Birthday

Kids meals this week are only 99 cents—and mascot Smiley will be stopping nearby.

Eat’n Park Restaurants’ 99 cent Kids’ Meals promotion is coming to an end on Friday. The promotion is capping off the 25th birthday celebration of Smiley, Eat’n Park’s well-known mascot, so in addition to the 99-cent meals, all kids also will receive a free birthday treat bag with stickers, temporary tattoos, a collectible Smiley wristband, and of course, a Smiley cookie. “We at Eat’n Park treasure our relationships with families and communities,” said Trina DeMarco, community marketing manager. “So we wanted families to share in the fun of Smiley’s 25th birthday celebration.
