Bridgeville Police Arrest Smash-And-Grab Thief

Bridgeville police are preparing to file charges against the man they say is responsible for the string of car break-ins in January.

He spoke to Saunoras over the …

Police Warn of Smash-and-Grab Thefts

At least three thefts have been reported in Great Southern in the past two weeks.

A rash of smash-and-grab thefts at Great Southern Shopping Center is prompting police to issue common sense safety measures to prevent others from becoming victims. At least three cars parked outside LA Fitness have been broken into in the past two weeks, and items were also stolen from inside another car parked outside nearby Arby’s. Meanwhile, numerous other similar break-ins have occurred in neighboring areas. Collier police Chief Thomas Devin said there are two simple ways to protect your car and property: Lock your doors and place your purse in the trunk. “It’s just like at Christmas time,” Devin said. “Don’t leave valuables in the car.” This epidemic is not unique to Collier Township or Great Southern. Many neighboring areas – …
