A driver and his two dogs somehow escaped injury after their sport-utility vehicle rolled over into Thoms Run stream near Presto. Emergency responders were called to the crash just off Thoms Run Road near the township line between Collier and South Fayette townships around 7 p.m. Monday, Presto fire Asst. Chief Glen Eger said. The driver apparently lost control during the heavy snowfall and the SUV slide off the bridge and into the stream. The vehicle was on its side in Thoms Run, so Eger said the firefighters had to do “a little bit of work get him out of there.” Eger found one dog sitting in the SUV and other dog under a seat.
