Police Investigating Sally’s Beauty Supply Theft

Collier Township police are investigating a theft at Sally’s Beauty Supply on April 25. According to the police report, a black male who looked to be in his 30s stole two flat iron, each valued at $70, from the store in Great Southern Shopping Center. He reportedly left the area in an older-style Jeep driven by a white female. Those with information can contact Collier police. Attempted Robbery Reported at Pit Stop Express

Scott Township police blotter, April 22 to April 28.

Scott Township police are investigating a robbery attempt at the Pit Stop Express on Painters Run Road. According to the police report, a white male attempted to rob the store on April 27 at 11:51 p.m. He reportedly did not show a weapon. The investigation is ongoing. Also in the blotter: Michael Ferita, 26, of Pittsburgh, was charged with disorderly conduct after drug parapharnelia was found during a traffic stop on Orchard Street on April 24 at 9:17 p.m. Jewlery was stolen from a home on White Birch Circle on April 25 between 6 and 11 p.m. Police have identified a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing. Tools Stolen from Collier Business

Police news from Collier Township.

Police are investigating a theft from a Collier Township business. According to police, someone broke into a locked building and stolen $600 worth of tools from Collier Stone Co. on Noblestown Road during the night of April 12, or early morning of April 13. Police said it appeared as thought the person also tried to steal copper pipe, but left it behind. Those with information are asked to contact Collier Township police. Also in this week’s blotter: Joseph Orszulak, 46, of Dormont, was charged with public drunkenness after an incident at Pittsburgh Bottleshop Café. Four Washington County Men Charged with Drug Possession in Bridgeville

Four men from Washington County face drug charges after Bridgeville police said they caught one of them urinating in a borough parking lot. Read about that and other crime news in the weekly Bridgeville police blotter.

Four men from Washington County face drug charges after Bridgeville police said they caught one of them urinating in a borough parking lot. Police said they were patrolling the area around Castaway’s Bar in the early hours of March 24 when officers saw a man urinating in a nearby parking lot. While investigating, police said they found marijuana and suspected cocaine in and around the car. Police said they arrested Kevin Brooks, 39, of Eighty Four, Geoffrey Brown, 29, of Washington, Homer Thomas Jr., 34, of Canonsburg, and Frankie Yarbrough, 38, of Canonsburg. Each of them faces one charge of possession of a controlled substance. Brooks faces additional charges of drug possession with intent to deliver and disorderly conduct. The four men …

Man Arrested After Staggering on Route 50 Near Bridgeville

Collier Township police arrested a man last week after motorists saw him staggering on Route 50 near the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center.

Collier Township police arrested a man last week after motorists saw him staggering on Route 50 near the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center. Police said they were called to Anderson Equipment around 7 p.m. on Jan. 30 after officers from Bridgeville took the man into custody. Police said Michael Himes, 46, of Finleyville, smelled of alcohol and they charged him with public drunkenness. Shot Fired From Bridgeville Home

A man apparently “angry about something” fired a rifle shot from the porch of his Union Street home earlier this month. Read about that and other crime in the weekly Bridgeville police blotter.

A man apparently “angry about something” fired a rifle shot from the porch of his Union Street home earlier this month, Bridgeville police said. Police said they were called to the home shortly before 8 p.m. on Oct. 5 for a report of shots fired and found 54-year-old Ronald Oehm. He was arrested without incident, police said, after he allegedly shot one round from his 30-06 rifle into the air from his porch. Two other guns were seized from his home police said. “The shot was fired in the general direction of homes and businesses in Bridgeville and Collier Township,” police said in a press release. “Several people were on the front porch of the house next to Oehm’s at the time the shot was fired.” Police said Oehm was charged with reckless …

Store Clerk Assaulted Over Cigarettes

Two people were arrested after they allegedly tried to steal cigarettes from a Scott Township gas station before assaulting the store clerk. Read about that and more in the weekly Scott Township police blotter.

Two people were arrested after Scott Township police said the tried to steal cigarettes from the Sunoco gas station on Cochran Road and then assaulted the store clerk. Police said Julia Pipich, 24, of Castle Shannon, tried to steal the cigarettes on Oct. 1. When the clerk tried to intervene, Timothy Benacci, 39, of Mt. Lebanon, assaulted the worker, police said. Police said they charged Benacci with assault and harassment. Pipich faces retail theft, public drunkenness and drug charges. Police charged a missing Carnegie man with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after officers searched for him for hours earlier this week.

Heidelberg Heidelberg police charged John Vistein, 37, of Carnegie, with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after officers said they spent nearly three hours searching for him in the early hours of Aug. 20. Fight leads to charges: Patrick Schantz, 26, of Heidelberg faces several charges following a fight in the early hours of Aug. 17, borough police said. Schantz was charged with harassment, terroristic threats and unlawful restraint due to the fight, police said. Man allegedly violates PFA: Heidelberg police arrested a 47-year-old borough man after another department said he violated a protection from abuse order. Police said they arrested Martin Roethlein on Aug. 21 after officers in Shaler Township said he violated the PFA.   …
