Two thefts were reported at Walmart in Scott Township last week. Scott Township police are investigating an iPhone theft reported by an employee at Walmart. The incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. on May 6 and 10:30 p.m. on May 7. On May 9, a shoplifting incident was reported at Walmart between 11:48 and 11:52 a.m. Those with information can contact Scott Township Police. Scott Township police said they charged a driver with DUI following a crash on Greentree Road earlier this month. Police said they were called to a two-vehicle crash near Carriage Park Apartments around 8:30 p.m. on April 4. Lara Szymanski, 42, of Pittsburgh, was charged with drunken driving and and also faces several traffic offenses following the crash, police said. Police did not say if there were any injuries resulting from the crash. Collier Township police are investigating four unrelated thefts in two weeks. Police were called to Tuesday Mornings in the Great Southern Shopping Center on March 24 after an employee there said her purse was stolen from the break room. Police said someone later used her bank card. On March 25, police said a resident reported to them that a ring worth $4,000 was stolen from her Noblestown Road home. Police said they arrested Clayton Gogarty, 24, and charged him with burglary and theft. Police were called to the Dunham’s in the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center on April 1 after store employees reported that a man had left with a golf club. A Bridgeville woman faces numerous charges after police said she got into a fight and caused a disturbance in the borough last month. Bridgeville police said they were called to a fight in the 100 block of Union Street shortly after 2 p.m. on March 30. They arrested Karen Winter, 53, and charged her with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and public drunkenness. She was taken to Allegheny County Jail and arraigned on the charges. Collier Township police are investigating a series of metal thefts from a McMichael Road property.
Collier Township police are investigating a series of metal thefts from a McMichael Road property. Investigators said a resident living on the rural roadway reported on March 29 that several metal items have been stolen from the property on multiple occasions. She told police three 55-gallon drums and some antique plowing equipment were stolen. Police did not know the value of the equipment stolen or when exactly it was taken. Police are searching for a Coraopolis man after investigators said he pulled a handgun on another man and threatened to shoot him during a fight in Heidelberg over the weekend. Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Ronald Goins, 42, on charges of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and carrying a firearm without a license. Heidelberg police said Goins threatened a man with a handgun at West Railroad and Second streets in the early hours on Easter Sunday. Police said Goins is previously from the Coraoplis area, but investigators are not sure where he might be now. Scott Township police are investigating after several businesses and cars in the area were struck by paintball pellets last week. Police said several stores located in the Scott Towne Center were hit by paint balls in the early hours of March 20. The following day, several residents at the Virginia Mansions condos on Greentree Road noticed their vehicles were hit by paintballs. On March 22, a Nob Hill Apartments resident told police their car was also hit by paintballs. The three locations are in eyesight of each other, although police did not say if the vandalism was related or happened on the same night. A tractor worth more than $18,000 was stolen from a storage area in Collier Township. Workers at Independent Enterprises reported to Collier police on March 21 that the Kubota tractor with an attached “brush hog” was stolen from their staging area on Gregg Station Road. The tractor hadn’t been used since October, so investigators aren’t sure when it was stolen. A fence where the tractor and other equipment were being stored was damaged. Bridgeville Disorderly conduct charges: A mother and her son face disorderly conduct charges after Bridgeville police said they were fighting and using loud profanity in the street. Collier Township police arrested men following a fight at a Noblestown Road home earlier this month. Police said they were called to the Noblestown Road residence on March 14 and found the two men fighting. They charged George Howe, 49, and Ronald Kramer, 32, both of Collier Township, with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Police did not elaborate on what prompted the fight or if either man suffered any injuries. Bridgeville police said a man, whose girlfriend was allegedly stealing items inside a Chartiers Street business, left her behind when officers arrived. Police said they were alerted to a woman being stopped for retail theft by store employees inside the Rite Aid on March 1. Officers said they arrested Jonna Swisher, 33, of Canonsburg, and charged her with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. But her boyfriend, Joshua Patragas, 32, of Washington, who police said was supposed to be the getaway driver, left the parking lot when officers arrived. Police said he left Swisher alone to be arrested. However, investigators eventually found Patragas and charged him with retail theft and criminal conspiracy.
