Driver Hospitalized After DUI Arrest near Settlers Cabin Park

A woman being stopped for DUI had to be hospitalized after Collier police said she fought with officers and suffered medical problems by allegedly mixing alcohol and prescription pills.

A woman stopped under suspicion of DUI earlier this month had to be hospitalized after Collier police said she fought with officers and suffered medical problems after allegedly mixing alcohol and prescription pills. Police said a car driven by Melani Buck, 36, of Tarentum, was straddling the yellow line along Noblestown Road late on Dec. 6 and nearly hit a police cruiser. Officers said the driver got back into her lane and was driving fast before police stopped the car on Pinkerton Run Road near Settlers Cabin Park. That’s when police said Buck kicked two officers and a paramedic. She had to be restrained and an officer rode with her in an ambulance to St. Clair Hospital because she was “in bad shape medically” from the alcohol and pills…
