Alden William Johnson was the first baby born in 2013 at St. Clair Hospital. Alden arrived at 8:26 a.m.—four days after his due date—and weighed a whopping 11 pounds, 3 ounces. "It's exciting, 1-1-13, it's definitely memorable. It's totally not what we were expecting," said Alden's father, John Johnson. "The nurses were excited, too. Smith, who previously was a three-term state representative for most of the South Hills, was at the state Capitol in Harrisburg with friends and family for the unusual New Year’s Day swearing-in ceremony.
