Bridgeville Library Welcomes New Board Members

Four new board members are looking to help the Bridgeville Public Library after a tumultuous year.

The Bridgeville Public Library and its reshuffled Board of Directors are looking forward to a new year after a tumultuous 2012. The library board is welcoming four new members and will meet for the first time this year on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. inside the library’s community room. The board welcomes new additions John Oyler, Patte Kelly and Michael Aquilina, who will serve as secretary. Rebecca Wisbon, who came onto the board last summer, is the new president, while William O’Connor, who previously served on the library’s advisory panel, will be the new vice president. Bridgeville Library’s Fundraising Plan Never Materialized

The Bridgeville Public Library board met Tuesday night to discuss its situation and how it will raise enough money to keep the new $4 million facility operating. This is the third and final story that will appear this week on Chartiers Valley Patch. The first story was about how fundraising is needed immediately to save the new building, and on Thursday, we examined changes that could be coming to the board. The financial woes facing the Bridgeville Public Library have been years in the making.
