This lost spaniel mix was found wandering in Carnegie last week. She is an older dog with long, tan hair and a red collar.

A lost spaniel mix was found in Carnegie last week. The older dog with long, tan hair was found walking along Morrow Avenue on late Wednesday night. She is wearing a red collar, but does not have tags or ID chips. Animal Control said the dog is now staying at Clair’s Kennel in Upper St. Clair while they search for the owner. Patch Helps Reunite Lost Dog with Family

A Chartiers Valley Patch story posted Wednesday morning about Harper, a dog who ran away from her Bridgeville home Tuesday, helped the family to be reunited with its lost pooch a few hours later.

A Chartiers Valley Patch story posted Wednesday morning about a missing dog from Bridgeville helped reunite the family with its lost pooch a few hours later. The family of Harper, a 2-year-old English Mastiff, began posting information about her on Facebook after she ran away from their Bridgeville home Tuesday. She was last seen on Baldwin Street, but the family thought they followed her tracks to Cook School Park. But a story posted on Chartiers Valley Patch alerted a woman who saw Harper in the backyard of her Bridgeville home. Have you seen this missing Jack Russell Terrier named Patch? He was last seen Jan. 1 after he left his South Fayette home.

Have you seen this missing Jack Russell Terrier named Patch? This 10-year-old dog went missing from his owner’s home near County Line Road in South Fayette on Jan. 1 and hasn’t been seen since. His owner, Michelle, said they let him outside and he apparently smelled an animal and followed the scent. She said he was also apparently bothered by fireworks in the area on New Year’s Eve. “We thought he’d come back,” Michelle said. “He usually does.” Patch is wearing a purple collar, but does not have tags. The owner of this lost German shepherd found in Green Tree on Tuesday afternoon has been located!

UPDATE: The owner of this lost German shepherd found in Green Tree on Tuesday afternoon has been located! A German shepherd was found wandering in Green Tree. The dog was picked up on Susan Drive in the borough around 2 p.m. Tuesday. That neighborhood is close to Greentree Road and Scott Township. Lost Dog Finds His New Home

A lost mini dachshund found wandering in Upper St. Clair has a new home.

A mini dachshund found wandering in Upper St. Clair last week has a new home. A young woman living in Mt. Pleasant adopted the dog Friday night after reading news reports that he was found as a stray and needed a home. Animal Control Officer Roy Hayward said the woman contacted them Sunday to say the dog is doing well and loves his new forever home. “We had many inquiries as to his status, and I am happy to report that (the woman) adopted the furball out Friday evening!” Hayward wrote in an email. An Upper St. Clair resident found the older mini dachshund wandering near Baker Elementary school last week and turned him over to animal control. Lost Dog Found Near Bridgeville

Do you know who owns this mini dachshund found wandering in Upper St. Clair?

Animal Control regrets to report it has a new guest to advise you of right now. An Upper St. Clair resident found this older, mini dachshund wandering near Baker Elementary school. He does not have an ID chip and only a black collar no tags. The dog may also have issues with his eyes. Anyone with information may contact Animal Control through Allegheny County dispatch with their non-emergency number 412-279-6911 and request Animal Control.

Lost Dog Found in East Carnegie

Animal control is trying to find the owner of this miniature dachshund.

Animal control workers are trying to locate the owner of a stray dog found wandering Friday night in Scott Township. The dog, a light brown miniature dachshund, was found near Noblestown Road and picked up by a resident living on Idlewood Avenue in the East Carnegie neighborhood. The resident kept the dog overnight before turning him over to animal control Saturday afternoon. The dog may also have been roaming around Carnegie after animal control workers found a photo of him on www.telephonepole.org. Animal Control Officer Roy Hayward said the dog is “very sweet and loves company.” He is being cared for at Clair’s Kennel in Upper St. Clair while workers try to find his owner. Lost Dog Finds a New Home

Stray found last month in Mt. Lebanon was adopted this week.

The owner of a 4-year-old stray found last month in Mt. Lebanon was never located, but the dog has a new forever home. The white dog with black spots was found in Mt. Lebanon on July 10 and taken to Clair’s Kennel near Upper St. Clair’s Municipal Building as workers tried to locate the owner. The kennel held the dog for 48 hours before handing him over to the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh. A worker at the East Liberty shelter on Wednesday said he was adopted a few days ago and now has a new forever home.
