This week's restaurant spotlight is The Original Gab & Eat Restaurant, located on Washington Avenue in Scott Township. The walls of this classic neighborhood diner are covered with local awards and photos, as well as photos of celebrities who have stopped by. Gab & Eat serves up breakfast, featuring waffles, pancakes, omelets and eggs, and also offers sandwiches for lunch. The restaurant won a Patch 2012 Readers Choice award for Best Breakfast! This week's local restaurant spotlight is Pittsburgh Bottleshop Cafe, located on Washington Pike in Collier Town Square. Owner Mark Davis founded Bottleshop Cafe to bring a wide variety of unique beers and great food to the area. The bar features 31 beers on tap, and has more than 250 types of beer. This week's local business spotlight is Sarasnick Brothers Hardware, located on Washington Avenue in Bridgeville. Sarasnick's opened in 1938 and keeps the store full of everything needed for every project, from home repairs and plumbing to lawn and garden supplies. The shop is a staple of Bridgeville's business district, and was featured last year in a commercial for Chevrolet at the 1:20 minute mark. The video is attached to this article.
