Here's another great Lenten dining option.
Do you observe Lent? Are you tired of the same old stuff for lunch and dinner? If you can answer "yes" to either of those questions, here's a great pre-Easter meal that's refreshing and different. It's called, simply, shrimp and avocado salad. You can eat it by itself or between two pieces of bread, and it's good for either lunch or dinner. Here's a version of the meal as seen on Allrecipes.com. Ingredients: Instructions:

Want something a little more fancy than a tuna fish salad sandwich to take to lunch during Lent? How about shrimp instead?
With Lent upon us, I thought of all the people out there like me who can't stand a tuna fish salad sandwich but want to pack something seafoody for lunch. Then I immediately remembered a refreshing shrimp salad sandwich I had while beaching it up on vacation. Generous fish fry portions and taste offer more bang for the buck.
With Lenten season winding down and Good Friday just days away, you’re likely in the market for a great fish sandwich. If you’ve exhausted all the church basements and fire halls in the area, or are simply looking for something new and delicious, Rocky’s at 1201 Washington Ave. in Scott Township is the place for you. I’ve heard the buzz about Rocky’s for years. My father-in-law is a frequent lunch customer and often reads the news while he enjoys what he describes as the best fish sandwich around. He and other patrons line the bar-restaurant during lunch and dinner – the business’ peak hours – while owner Rocky Zargari can often be found cooking. On Fridays during the Lenten season, lines stretch out the door while customers wait for a …
