Harlem Wizards Come to Chartiers Valley

The Harlem Wizards hoops team is coming back to Chartiers Valley High School this month with tricks and acrobatic dunks that are sure to please the crowd. The traveling basketball squad will play CV United on Nov. 14 with an entertaining crew of characters to raise money for the school district's PTG. Lisa Rawson, the “Sales Wizard” for Pennsylvania, said the squad is different from the team that came to the area last year and is bringing “crazy dunkers” to this show. Their group is different from the Harlem Globetrotters because they play at high schools and the money goes to the local charity, she said. “It’s in comedic style and an entertainment show basketball event,” Rawson said. “That’s where the similarities end. CV All-Stars Play Around with Harlem Wizards

A group of teachers and staff played basketball to raise money for the PTG and student council.

Like our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter @CharValleyPatch The Cavalier Colts, a team comprised of Chartiers Valley teachers, staff and administrators took on a professional entertainment basketball team known as the Harlem Wizards on Oct. 27. The event took place in the high school gym and was enjoyed by all in attendance. The event was sponsored by the Chartiers Valley Intermediate School PTG, and included concessions, Spirit Wear, a Chinese auction and souvenirs by the Harlem Wizards. The PTG would like to thank all the teachers, staff and administration who came together to make this event happen – and to thank all the families that came out to support their district. Special thanks also goes out to businesses in the community who…
