Steelers Gear Stolen From Bridgeville Bar

An Upper St. Clair man was cited after allegedly taking a Pittsburgh Steelers helmet from Castaway’s Bar in Bridgeville last month. Bridgeville police said they received a call from a Castaway’s employee around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 that the decorative helmet was stolen from a shelf behind the bar. Police said their investigation led them to 22-year-old Matthew Wholey. Wholey was not taken into custody, but officers cited him for disorderly conduct and trespassing. Investigators said they recovered the helmet from Wholey’s house and returned it to the bar’s owner.
