Two thefts were reported at Walmart in Scott Township last week. Scott Township police are investigating an iPhone theft reported by an employee at Walmart. The incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. on May 6 and 10:30 p.m. on May 7. On May 9, a shoplifting incident was reported at Walmart between 11:48 and 11:52 a.m. Those with information can contact Scott Township Police. Scott Township police said they charged a driver with DUI following a crash on Greentree Road earlier this month. Police said they were called to a two-vehicle crash near Carriage Park Apartments around 8:30 p.m. on April 4. Lara Szymanski, 42, of Pittsburgh, was charged with drunken driving and and also faces several traffic offenses following the crash, police said. Police did not say if there were any injuries resulting from the crash. A Bridgeville woman faces numerous charges after police said she got into a fight and caused a disturbance in the borough last month. Bridgeville police said they were called to a fight in the 100 block of Union Street shortly after 2 p.m. on March 30. They arrested Karen Winter, 53, and charged her with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and public drunkenness. She was taken to Allegheny County Jail and arraigned on the charges. Four men from Washington County face drug charges after Bridgeville police said they caught one of them urinating in a borough parking lot. Police said they were patrolling the area around Castaway’s Bar in the early hours of March 24 when officers saw a man urinating in a nearby parking lot. While investigating, police said they found marijuana and suspected cocaine in and around the car. Police said they arrested Kevin Brooks, 39, of Eighty Four, Geoffrey Brown, 29, of Washington, Homer Thomas Jr., 34, of Canonsburg, and Frankie Yarbrough, 38, of Canonsburg. Each of them faces one charge of possession of a controlled substance. Brooks faces additional charges of drug possession with intent to deliver and disorderly conduct. The four men …

A West Virginia man whom state police say was driving erratically on Interstate 79 before running from troopers will stand trial on DUI and other charges. Daniel P. Baker, 33, of Fairmont, W.Va., was held for court on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, fleeing police, careless driving and reckless driving during his preliminary hearing with District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet on April 1. State police said they tried to stop Baker along I-79 in Collier Township on Dec. 19 when he refused to pull over. Police did not say how long the chase lasted or which direction he was heading. Police are searching for a Coraopolis man after investigators said he pulled a handgun on another man and threatened to shoot him during a fight in Heidelberg over the weekend. Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Ronald Goins, 42, on charges of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and carrying a firearm without a license. Heidelberg police said Goins threatened a man with a handgun at West Railroad and Second streets in the early hours on Easter Sunday. Police said Goins is previously from the Coraoplis area, but investigators are not sure where he might be now. Bridgeville police said a man, whose girlfriend was allegedly stealing items inside a Chartiers Street business, left her behind when officers arrived. Police said they were alerted to a woman being stopped for retail theft by store employees inside the Rite Aid on March 1. Officers said they arrested Jonna Swisher, 33, of Canonsburg, and charged her with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. But her boyfriend, Joshua Patragas, 32, of Washington, who police said was supposed to be the getaway driver, left the parking lot when officers arrived. Police said he left Swisher alone to be arrested. However, investigators eventually found Patragas and charged him with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. A Scott Township man was arrested earlier this month after police said he stole his elderly neighbor’s car and threatened her if she called authorities. Scott Township police said Robert Jasper, 47, took the woman’s car from her Elmbrook Lane home and was seen driving it around the neighborhood on March 8. The woman was fearful, police said, so she didn’t contact them. However, another person in the neighborhood noticed Jasper driving the woman’s car and called police. Police on the following day charged Jasper with theft and terroristic threats. He was released on those charges, but investigators later discovered he was wanted on other felony charges.
