Scott police said they arrested a 24-year-old township resident on Jan. 14 for allegedly selling a stolen iPad to an electronics store. Police said they charged Sean Sanns with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly sold the electronic tablet to MIB in Dormont. Police said the iPad was taken from a home in the 700 block of Robin Drive. Investigators did not say how the iPad was taken from the home. A 67-year-old woman faces drunken driving charges after Bridgeville police said she crashed into a parked car and then left the scene. Mary Stanton was charged with DUI and other related counts following the collision in the 600 block of Bank Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 10, borough police said. Officers said they arrived and found a parked car with damage and another car a few blocks away that also appeared to be involved in the crash. Police impounded Stanton’s car and later tracked the woman to a Scott Township home, where she was arrested. Police did not say if Stanton or anyone else was injured in the crash. Police said they arrested an unruly man causing a disturbance in a Collier Township neighborhood earlier this month. Collier police said they were called to Cluxton Road around 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 2 for a suspicious vehicle and a man causing problems. The man, Jeremiah Ball, 26, Conway, AR, was causing such a disturbance, police said, that residents on the street came out to see what the commotion was about. Police said Ball resisted arrest and tried to kick out a police cruiser’s window. Ball is charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, institutional vandalism and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Scott Township police said three people were cited for underage drinking during a traffic stop in East Carnegie. Police said they stopped a car in the 200 block of Noblestown Road shortly before midnight on Jan. 4 and found the three underage occupants to be drinking. Michael Fitzhenry, 20, Andrew Lane, and Ashley Tschannen, 18, all of Pittsburgh, were issued non-traffic citations for underage drinking, police said. A Collier man is accused of taking a purse from a Presto convenience store, only to return it later sans the $200 in cash that was inside it, township police said. Collier Township police said a woman left her purse on the counter of the Presto Quick Stop on Dec. 23 and returned later when she realized she had forgotten it. But when she returned, the purse was gone. Police said Richard Slutzky, 52, brought the purse back to the convenience store, but it was missing $200 in cash. Police reviewed the video and determined he took the purse after the woman left it on the counter. Slutzky is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Heidelberg police say a Washington County man was driving drunk with a young daughter in his car. Police said they stopped John D. Bonacci, 43, of Washington, PA, at Collier Avenue and East Railroad Street shortly after 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 and found him to be impaired while driving with the young girl in the vehicle. Three men who allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of scrap metal were easy to spot as they tried to leave a Scott Township industrial park with their loot earlier this month. The rear bumper of their getaway car, filled with the heavy and bulky metal in the trunk, was nearly dragging on the ground as the men left the Super Mill Complex near Carnegie on Dec. 2, Scott Township police said. “It was almost dragging on the ground,” Scott Township police Sgt. Jeff Skees said of the car. The owner of the company, Future All Inc., alerted police when he saw the men leaving the complex with the metal hanging out of the open trunk, Skees said. Carnegie police eventually stopped the car at the Advance Auto Parts store on Washington Avenue. …

Scott Township police said some unusual items were stolen during a burglary at Carriage Park Apartments last month. A resident at the Greentree Road apartment complex told Scott Township police they came home to find their unit was burglarized and a DVD player, bus pass and various food items. Police said they think the burglary happened in the evening hours of Nov. 26. Police did not have more details on the incident or whether they have any suspects in the case. An Upper St. Clair man was cited after allegedly taking a Pittsburgh Steelers helmet from Castaway’s Bar in Bridgeville last month. Bridgeville police said they received a call from a Castaway’s employee around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 that the decorative helmet was stolen from a shelf behind the bar. Police said their investigation led them to 22-year-old Matthew Wholey. Wholey was not taken into custody, but officers cited him for disorderly conduct and trespassing. Investigators said they recovered the helmet from Wholey’s house and returned it to the bar’s owner.
