An interactive map at the Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks website offers a glimpse at median household incomes, by neighborhoods, in Bridgeville, Collier, Heidelberg, Scott, South Fayette or anywhere in the country. Take, for instance, the two Census tracts that include Bridgevlle. The eastern side of the borough has a median income level of about $42,000, while the neighborhood to the west of Route 50 has a median income level of $29,000. Scott Township has a median income level that ranges from $35,000 to $67,000. Most of Collier Township is has a median income level of about $65,000. Patch Homepage Gets Visual Nip and Tuck

The new layout is even more user-friendly.

No, you're not losing it! Patch looks different today. We did a quick visual nip-and-tuck to the homepage to make it even more user-friendly. And we've moved a couple pieces of furniture. For those keeping score:  * We tweaked some words in our navigation bar to save space (e.g., "Traffic & Gas" is now "Commute")  * We moved the weather icon next to the Patch branding so you can find it more quickly!  * We moved, well, YOU closer to the top! Collier Gets $150k Grant for New Park

The township has made changes to Collier Township Community Park and will raze the fitness center.

Collier Township received a $150,000 grant this month to begin work on its new 72-acre community park at the former Nike Site military complex. The commissioners originally requested $500,000, which comes from the Allegheny County Redevelopment Authority’s Community Infrastructure Tourism Fund that helps area projects. The money will help pay to raze nine buildings and other structures in February to make room for fields and other amenities at the new Collier Township Community Park. The commissioners also decided to demolish the fitness center, which had been open since June and only had 13 members, and instead build a multi-purpose gymnasium. “I think (the fitness center) was a thought and the commissioners felt that we could do better…
