The Chartiers Valley Colts varsity football team starts its 2012 season by moving to a tougher WPIAL conference and facing a variety of new teams. The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League in January realigned its conferences and placed the Colts into a nine-team division that contains several local powerhouses. Chartiers Valley will now play West Allegheny, Montour, Moon, Central Valley, Hopewell, Ambridge, Blackhawk and New Castle.
