The video, created by students Jason Restich and Connor Lindsay, shows practice and game highlights in the match-up between CV and South Fayette on Jan. 15. The Colts beat South Fayette 50-46 that night. The Colts are 18-2 heading into their final three games of the season against South Park, South Fayette and Upper St. Clair. Chartiers Valley Crushes Ellwood City

The Chartiers Valley Colts beat Ellwood City on Friday night in their non-conference WPIAL game.

The Chartiers Valley Colts easily beat Ellwood City on Friday night in their only non-conference WPIAL game of the season. The Colts (2-2, 1-2) ran up the score, beating Ellwood City 53-19 on the road, according to Chartiers Valley School District’s official Twitter feed. Chartiers Valley returns home next Friday for its Homecoming football game against New Castle. Do you have photos of the football game? CV Wins AAU Tournament in Buffalo

Baseball team won seven straight games in New Era Cap Classic

The Chartiers Valley AAU baseball team traveled to Buffalo, N.Y., last weekend and won seven straight games to capture the New Era Cap Classic championship in the 15U division. The team beat Steve’s Sports, another AAU team from Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday by a score of 2-1 at Buffalo’s minor league baseball stadium. Thirty teams from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Canada participated in the three-day tournament. CV’s baseball team recorded three blowout wins Friday and Saturday before a close 7-6 victory over the squad from Tannersville, N.Y.  In all, CV outscored its opponents 68-21 during the tournament’s seven games.
