Three Charged After Theft at Marshalls

Three Pittsburgh women face charged after an incident at Marshalls Department Store in Scott Township on May 4. Scott police charged Raenal Stevenson, 23, and Cheyenne Arrington, 18, with retail theft and receiving stolen property for their involvement in a retail theft incident at the department store between 1:23 and 3 p.m. that day. Stevenson also was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement. Her mother, Linda Witherspoon, 47, was charged with obstruction of administration of law for her involvement in covering up the identity of her daughter. Discount Grocery Stores Opening in Collier and Scott

Bottom Dollar Food is opening a dozen new stores in the Pittsburgh area.

Bottom Dollar Food, a discount supermarket chain based in North Carolina, is opening a dozen new stores in the Pittsburgh area, including two along Route 50. The grocery chain has plans to open a store in Great Southern Shopping Center and another supermarket in the Scott Township plaza off Route 50 that currently houses Family Video. The grocery stores are expected to open by early 2012. Other locations for the stores include Castle Shannon, Baldwin, Penn Hills, McKeesport, Butler, Ambridge and Aliquippa. “Customers will find Bottom Dollar Food unique because we carry private brands and the national brands that matter most, and offer a meaningful, efficient assortment of fresh produce, meat and other products,” company President Meg Ham …
