Spring Means Seedlings, Sprouts and Sustainability at Local Farms

Whether they are in the city or country, there are places near home where you can find fresh produce—or get seedlings to grow your own.

To every thing there is a season—and we are in the season of planting. Despite the frost warnings this week, May is the time when many plants take root. And not far behind are the early harvests. There are a number of local farms that provide a variety of seedlings and sprouts, produce, and other products as the growing season progresses. Pittsburgh Area Catholic Leaders Hail Selection of Pope Francis

Pittsburgh area Catholic leaders reacted to the election of Pope Francis and were especially fixated on his 'New World' origins and the meaning behind the name he chose. Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina was selected as the new pope Wednesday.

Missing Baldwin Woman's Car Found in Cecil

Karissa Kunco has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

A missing Baldwin woman's car was found crashed on a Cecil Township road Thursday morning, but no one was inside when police arrived. Authorities are looking for Karissa Kunco, 21, of Baldwin, who has been reported as missing as of 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon. Police think that Kunco, who is a 5-foot-2, 160-pound white woman with brown hair and green eyes, might be with he ex-boyfriend, Jordan Alexander Clemons. Police report that Clemons, 22, frequents the Canonsburg, area, although he lists his hometown as Mt. Washington on his Facebook page. Cecil police confirmed to reporters that a car that crashed on Gladden Road in the township belong to missing Baldwin woman Karissa Kunco.
