Two Thefts Reported at Walmart

Scott Township police blotter, May 5 to May 12.

Two thefts were reported at Walmart in Scott Township last week. Scott Township police are investigating an iPhone theft reported by an employee at Walmart. The incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. on May 6 and 10:30 p.m. on May 7. On May 9, a shoplifting incident was reported at Walmart between 11:48 and 11:52 a.m. Those with information can contact Scott Township Police. Two Charged in Baldwin Street Incident

Crime update from Bridgeville police, April 26 and 28.

Two Bridgeville residents face charges after an incident on Baldwin Street on April 26. Bridgeville police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Baldwin Street at 2:47 p.m. for a report of an assault. Yvonne Fiumara, 45, of Bridgeville was arrested and charged her with simple assault, criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct. Police also arrested Wayne Carelli, 28, of Bridgeville and charged him with disorderly conduct and harassment. Also in the blotter: Police responded to a fight outside of a house in the 800 block of Mill Street on April 28 at 4:48 a.m. Police charged Robert Gallocher, 31, and Donna Emling, 32, both of Bridgeville, were charged with disorderly conduct. Charges Held Against Woman Involved in Bridgeville Drug Bust

An update on court cases heard by District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet.

The following is an update on court cases heard by District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet on May 6. McGraw-Desmet oversees Bridgeville and Collier Township. Charges were held for court on Monday against a Bridgeville woman involved in a drug bust at a house where two young children lived. Shelby Casper, 21, is charged with firearms possession, altering a firearm, marijuana possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children. The charges were held for court following a preliminary hearing May 6 before Magisterial District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet. Bridgeville police said Casper was asleep on the third floor of a Union Street home March 15 when officers arrived to check on the welfare …

Three Charged After Theft at Marshalls

Scott Township police blotter, April 29 to May 4.

Three Pittsburgh women face charged after an incident at Marshalls Department Store in Scott Township on May 4. Scott police charged Raenal Stevenson, 23, and Cheyenne Arrington, 18, with retail theft and receiving stolen property for their involvement in a retail theft incident at the department store between 1:23 and 3 p.m. that day. Stevenson also was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement. Her mother, Linda Witherspoon, 47, was charged with obstruction of administration of law for her involvement in covering up the identity of her daughter. Police Investigating Sally’s Beauty Supply Theft

Collier Township police blotter, April 21 to May 4.

Collier Township police are investigating a theft at Sally’s Beauty Supply on April 25. According to the police report, a black male who looked to be in his 30s stole two flat iron, each valued at $70, from the store in Great Southern Shopping Center. He reportedly left the area in an older-style Jeep driven by a white female. Those with information can contact Collier police. No Danger Found After Bomb Threat at CV Intermediate School

A bomb threat was discovered Friday in a bathroom at the Intermediate School, but no credible threat was found by local police and fire departments.

No threat was found, and a suspect already had been identified, in a bomb threat made late in the day on Friday, May 6, at Chartiers Valley Intermediate School. The following letter was sent home with students on Monday: Dear Parents/ Guardians, On Friday, May 3, Intermediate School staff discovered a bomb threat in a student restroom at the Intermediate School in the late afternoon. All threats are taken very seriously and the police and fire departments were called immediately. In addition, students and staff were evacuated from the building. However, since the threat was discovered during dismissal, the students were sent home on their usual bus at the usual time. The police and fire departments used specialized equipment and dogs to …

Driver Who Crashed Into Tanker Truck Waives Charges for Court

An update on court cases heard by District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet.

The following is an update on court cases heard by District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet in April. McGraw-Desmet oversees Bridgeville and Collier Township. A Cecil Township man charged with DUI and other crimes after he crashed into a tanker truck in Bridgeville has waived the charges for court. Devin D. Carter, 38, was arrested Feb. 8 after Bridgeville police said they saw him walking away from the scene of a crash on Bower Hill Road. Carter is accused of crashing into a tanker truck while driving under the influence of drugs. The truck’s fuel tank ruptured as a result of the crash, spilling diesel onto the roadway and causing traffic delays. Carter was charged with DUI, carless driving and operating a vehicle without valid inspection. …
