Horror Realms Summer of Scares kicks of with a 13-hour Sci Fi movie marathon at the Hollywood Theater this weekend.
Don't mind the screams coming from the Hollywood Theater this month— it's just Halloween in August in Dormont.
Dormont area horror fans can head to the Hollywood Theater this month for three events planned by Horror Realm, a Pittsburgh-based organizer of horror conventions.
The events lead up to the Horror Realm convention on Sept. 20-22, including a day long science fiction movie marathon this Saturday.
Science Fiction Movie Marathon
It's a science fiction double feature— and then some.
Horror Realm will kick off their events in Dormont with a 13-hour long science fiction movie marathon of 10 different "cheesy" movies. Ticket sales benefit the Hollywood Theater.
Date: August 10
Time: Doors open at 10:45
Price: $13 for an all day pass or $5 per individual movie.

Keystone Wrestle Mania
Get ready to rumble.
In order to hype fans for the appearance of wrestling manager JJ Dillon at Horror Realm's fall convention, Horror Realm andKeystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) brought together a handful of wrestling stars.
Shawn Blanchard, Dr. Devastation, Lou Martin and Jonny Axx will make an appearance and answer questions during a Q&A session.
There will be a showing of a "best of" KSWA film and a screening of The Wrestler.
Date: August 12
Time: Doors open at 6 p.m. with show at 7 p.m.. Screening begins at 9 p.m.
Admission: $5 tickets available at the door
Because who needs more than one pair of Freddy Krueger hands?
Horror fans can clean out their closets and sell some of their old horror-themed memorabilia or VHS tapes. Interested nonprofessional vendors can contact Horror Realm in order to buy a space at info@horrorrealmcon.com.
Guests can also grab a snack from the Hollywood Theater concession stand, or buy something from the bake sale.

Time: 10-2 p.m.
Admission: Free
After the flea market there will be a showing of "Rewind This!" at 3 p.m. with $5 tickets. At 5 p.m. "Bloodsuckers from Outer Space" will be shown and costs $7. It's $10 to see both films.
Proceeds from both the market and the movie screenings benefit the Hollywood Theater.
