Bridgeville Library Open Mic Night To Continue Through Fall

The next open mic night is Sunday, Sept. 22.

Bridgeville Public Library's Open Mic & Craft Beer Swap will continue through the fall.

The first fall Open Mic will occur on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and every two weeks thereafter.

The program provides local musicians of all ages and genres a free, welcoming environment in which they can perform, while the craft beer swap allows local beer aficionados to share their favorite brews and compare notes while enjoying the music.

Open Mic host Kim Losego, a local musician and library advisory board member, started the program in May and was pleasantly surprised by the local interest.

“Open Mic was to only run for the summer but because of its popularity we decided to continue through the holidays”, Losego said. “We’ve since added the Mini Concerts to the Open Mic which feature performers that may not draw a full house for our Concert Series but are professional, working musicians playing around the city. The Mini Concerts have been hugely successful and aids Open Mic participants in perfecting their skills.”
