Steelers Greats Host Black & Gold Golf Classic

is teaming up with dozens of athletes and celebrities for the second annual Black & Gold Celebrity Golf Classic Monday.

Co-hosted by four-time Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Champion running back Rocky Bleier and three-time Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowler Mike Merriweather, the fund raising event will include greats from the gridiron, along with other sport legends.

Additional participants include former Pittsburgh Pirate Grant Jackson, former Pittsburgh Steelers Mel Blount and Greg Lloyd, former Pittsburgh Penguins Pierre Larouche and Phil Bourque, and former heavyweight boxing champion Michael Moorer, among others.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the World War II Veterans of Southwestern Pennsylvania Memorial Fund.  

A memorial, designed to symbolize Duty, Honor, and Love of Country, will be built on the North Shore of the City of Pittsburgh to honor the so valiantly in World War II.
