Rotary Packs 'Em In To Feed The Hungry

Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club packs 50,000 meal boxes for needy.

Dozens of volunteers and members of the Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club spent a few hours Saturday morning packing 50,000 meals to feed the hungry.

The “Feed the Hungry” meal packing event inside the cafeteria was designed to provide a boxed meal that could feed up to four people. Ten teams assembled the boxes and boxes of nutritious macaroni-based meals.

Plenty of volunteers showed up and signed in at the front desk before moving toward the school lunch tables. They worked in assembly line fashion filling the boxes with food that can feed four.
