Patch Pets: Meet Sassy

She's a sweet 8-year-old Border Collie mix that is well-behaved in the home.

Sassy spent her first eight years with her family, but came to the Animal Rescue League because she wasn't adjusting well to visits around their young granddaughter.

The ARL is suggesting that Sassy be adopted either into an adult-only home or a home with older children. The former owners said that Sassy was fine around teenagers.

She is a very sweet dog, and well-behaved in the home. Naturally, she's said to be house-trained too. She does fine in the car and also walks well on leash

While Sassy is not a purebred Border Collie, she has many of their personality characteristics. They tend to be very intelligent, highly-trainable dogs. But they need some attention and shouldn’t be left alone all day with nothing to do.

If you're able to offer a loving home for Sassy, as well as provide her the attention and exercise her breed needs, please stop down and meet her. If you'd like to inquire about this pet, please call 412-661-6452 ext 215. Sassy's adoption donation fee is $55.
