Goodwill Collecting Unwanted Electronics

Items can be donated Saturday at the Bridgeville Fire Hall

Do you have any unwanted office equipment or old appliances that you don’t need anymore?

If so, the Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is accepting a variety of electronics to help people clear clutter from their home in the name of a good cause.

Goodwill is accepting specific items such as computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, cell phones or chargers, digital cameras, microwaves and other small appliances.

Anyone with unwanted electronics can bring them to the at 370 Commercial St. The non-profit will collect the items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for the “Safe, Easy and Free” recycling program.

Goodwill workers said they will delete all computer hard drives to ensure any data is destroyed. Donors will not be charged any fees in the process.

“By donating your unwanted computers, you are helping Goodwill provide employment to those who refurbish and salvage them,” the non-profit said in a press release.
