Pittsburghers Officiate Super Bowl XLVI

Tony Steratore and Tom Stabile will officiate Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

Although our beloved Steelers are not in this year's Super Bowl, a few Pittsburghers will still be on the field Sunday.

Two of the seven-man crew of game officials, announced by the National Football League last week, hail from Pittsburgh, including Tony Steratore of Peters Township and head linesman Tom Stabile, who is from Pittsburgh.

Steratore has been an NFL official since 2000, following in the footsteps of his father Gene and his brother Gene Jr.

He wears uniform number 112. This is his second time officiating a Super Bowl game.

Outside of his NFL officiating duties, Steratore, who could not be reached for comment, is the president of Steratore Sanitary Supplies in Eighty Four.
