Pittsburgh Penguins Playoff Rally Set for Wednesday

Fans from the Chartiers Valley area are invited to the 'Annihilate the Islanders Rally' in downtown Pittsburgh.

Allegheny County officials are planning an "Annihilate the Islanders Rally" before the Pittsburgh Penguins' first playoff game Wednesday, May 1.

The rally begins at noon in the Allegheny Courthouse courtyard and includes giveaways from the Penguins and Turner's Dairy and an appearance from Iceburgh.

Val Porter from WDVE will host the event and the Kardasz Brothers will perform live music.

The best-of-seven playoff series against the New York Islanders begins at 7:30 p.m. at Consol Energy Center.

The Pens won the regular-season series with the Islanders, 4-1.
