Photo Slideshow: Lady Colts 2010-11 Season

The experience from 2010-11 certainly will pay dividends in the upcoming years

The Lady Colts were not expected to have such a successful season after losing several key seniors from last year’s team. But coach Spencer Stefko challenged his players early with a difficult schedule against several Quad-A teams that forged the squad into a playoff contender.  The Lady Colts (17-6, 8-2) earned a first-round bye in the WPIAL playoffs, but fell to Mt. Pleasant. Senior Lexy Herron was injured in the game, but returned to hit the game-tying basket before Chartiers Valley lost in overtime. Still, the future looks bright for the girls’ squad as it used a regular rotation of four sophomores and two freshmen. The experience those players and Stefko gained in 2010-11 certainly will pay dividends in the upcoming seasons.
