1st Annual Fishing Contest

When: August 11th, 2012
 
Where: All participants must register beginning at 0600 hours at the pavilion at Heidelberg Park, 600 Industry Way, Heidelberg, Pa 15106 and all contestants must be registered no later than 0730 hrs when fishing officially begins. No one my register after 0730 hours, registration will be closed. All contestants must have registered prior to 0730 to be eligible for any of the prizes.
 
Who Can Participate: Either or both parents and their children or grand children up to 16 yrs of age . All participants must have a current Pennsylvania Fishing License as required by the Pa Fish Commission Rules and Regulations. Licenses must be displayed and shown upon registration unless your son or daughter that is participating is not required due to their age as per the PA Fish Commission Rules. This is a family participation function where spending time with your children can make a difference, get involved with your children and community; this can be a learning experience for everyone.
Registration for Children participating is $3.00 per child, $5.00 per adult participating in the actual fishing contest.
 
NOTICE: ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT DURING THE ENTIRE FISHING CONTEST AND WEIGHT IN REGARDLESS OF AGE OF THAT CHILD.
 
Registration will begin at 0600 hrs Saturday Morning at the Pavilion at Heidelberg Park. Cash only, no checks.
You must show your fishing license at time of registration if required by Pa Fish commission rules. Fishing will begin at 0730 hrs. Participants are limited to the fishing area from the end of Grant Street by the old railroad bridge up to the Greentree Road Bridge by the Exxon in Heidelberg only. You must stay within the Heidelberg Borough Limits.
 
This is a catch and release contest. Your fish must be alive during and after weigh in. You will be responsible to returning and releasing caught fish back into Charters Creek once officially weighed in. You will be allowed only one fish in each category and the winner will be by actual weight of an individual fish in each category of fish listed below only.

Prizes will be comprised of various fishing rods, reels, tackle boxes, combination tackle, lures, gift cards, and other miscellaneous prizes. Prizes awarded according to the largest fish by weigh in each category. Only one prize per contestant awarded per category.
 
Refreshments will available during registration and during the weigh in process and awards at the new concession stand at Heidelberg Park
