Beadling Club Offers to Rebuild Chartiers Park Soccer Field

The Beadling Soccer Club is offering to spend up to $46,000 to rebuild and maintain the Chartiers Park soccer field in Bridgeville.

The Beadling Soccer Club is offering to spend up to $46,000 to rebuild and maintain the in Bridgeville.

Bridgeville Councilman Jason Sarasnick said the legendary soccer club located in this area offered to spend $20,000 to $46,000 to reseed the field, aerate it, install and irrigation system and maintain it to improve the playing conditions.

The club rents the soccer field from the borough to use for games and tournaments and wanted to show its appreciation for being able to use it during the year, Sarasnick said.

The club put forward a couple of options, which would determine the expense.

Borough Council President Nino Petrocelli Sr. said during their Monday night voting meeting that he wanted to wait to discuss the proposal before proceeding. But the borough’s engineer, Joe Sites, said the improvements are straight-forward and would be an improvement that Bridgeville officials should accept immediately.

The council agreed to allow Beadling to make improvements. It’s not known which improvements the club will make or when the work will begin.
