Montour Dunks Chartiers Valley, 47-40
The Colts held the lead at the half but the tide turned in the Spartans' favor with 2:52 left in the game.
The Chartiers Valley Colts boys’ basketball team fell after the Montour Spartans pulled ahead 47-40 in the final minutes of the WPIAL AAA championship game at the A.J. Palumbo Center in Duquesne Friday night.
The game got under way after a short delay and the Colts scored two points within first ten seconds, according to the district’s official Twitter feed at @CVSDcolts. At the end of the first quarter, the Colts were up 18-11.
Spencer Casson's 14 points took Chartiers Valley to 29-20 halftime lead over Montour, according to The Almanac's @SHAlmanacSports Twitter feed.

The Colts still held the lead at the end of the third quarter, as the lead was cut to a single point with the Colts 33, Montour 32.
With 2:52 to play, the Spartans score a trey to pull ahead, 39-36, the Almanac reported.

Tension hit at all-time high with 2:05 minutes left, and Montour up 39-38, according to the Colts' Twitter feed. Montour scored another trey, capturing the lead at 42-38.
The game ended with Montour the winner with a final score of 47-40.
