Contact: Sherry Small 412-429-5380
Carnegie Science Center returns this year with another wonderful program in conjunction with GlaxoSmithKline.
This year’s topic is Physical Science and Electricity. This summer we will investigate motion and energy. Children will get a first-hand look into the world of magnets, forces, and electricity. Activities will include riding on a hovercraft, experiencing the static charge of a Van de Graff generator, and making a working speaker.
Students will receive safety glasses and activity books to keep. At the end of the four-day session, students will receive a certificate of completion for participating in the program at a ceremony that the parents and families are
invited to attend.
This 4 day program will be for children going into grades 2, 3 & 4 in the Fall. Children going into grades 4, 5, & 6 in the Fall will be at 2:00.
This very popular program fills up fast.
Registration opens, Monday, June 25th @ 10:00 in the
Library.
