The three-day weekend for Chartiers Valley students just got two hours longer.
Bitterly cold temperatures and bone-chilling wind expected to roll into the region this week has prompted the Chartiers Valley School District to schedule a 2-hour delay for Tuesday morning.
Forecasters are predicting temperatures to be in the single digits overnight with the high in the teens Tuesday.
The school district posted the announcement on its website shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.
