The district is looking for new ways to go green and improve sustainability.

Chartiers Valley School District is looking for new ways to go green and improve sustainability, according to a report from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The district participated in Green Building Academy workshops last year, and on Tuesday, Sept. 17, heard from independently contracted expert Bob Kobet, chief executive officer of the Kobet Collaborative, on how the district can focus more on sustainability.

Kobet suggested the district could use renewable power systems, energy management systems, expand its use of green cleaning and green building maintenance practices and more.
