Rick Santorum Quits GOP Primary
The Republican presidential candidate announced Tuesday afternoon that he's suspending his campaign two weeks before the Pennsylvania primary.

The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania was expected to make the announcement at an event in Gettysburg, but just made the announcement on CNN.
"We made a decision over the weekend that while this presidential race for us is over for me, and we will suspend our campaign effective today, we are not done fighting," he said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
According to The Huffington Post, the combination of his daughter's sickness and recent poll numbers showing him possibly losing his home state apparently prompted the early departure.
