More Lane Closures on Route 50
Crews will be doing bridgework near Thoms Run Road.
It might be wise to steer clear of Route 50 near Collier and Scott townships over the weekend.
Crews will be removing and replacing strip seal dams on the bridge that carries Route 50 over Chartiers Creek. beginning at 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m Monday
Restrictions will occur on Route 50 near the intersection of Thoms Run Road. Motorists should use caution and expect possible delays and changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.

PennDOT scrapped plans to do similar bridgework on Greentree Road near the intersection of Route 50.
Farther down Route 50, crews will also be doing resurfacing in Greentree and Pittsburgh on Monday night. The lane closures between Route 121 and Route 60 will begin at 9 p.m. Monday and run until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Work will continue Tuesday night if needed. The project is included in a $3.3 million contract with A. Folino Construction of Oakmont, PA, for improvements on several roadways in Allegheny County.
