I am very disappointed in Raja. I was a big supporter of him before the Primary. I heard him enough times, and understand his business background to believe he was a good candidate. It did not surprise me to see his overwhelming margins in the Primary. But, then a Dem candidate was selected to run against him in the General. Raja should have had nothing to fear, and believed he could win against a much weaker candidate. Yes, win, and win handily. I saw that the need for mounting a campaign was a wasted effort. He should have been a sho-in. Then, he started with negative ads against the Dem opponent. I thought these ads were not needed, much less the nature of them. With so much to offer on the positive side, why would he step so low to put out these TV ads? His positive positions are so much stronger, there was no need to resort to hardly acknowledge an opponent. When I thought he was somebody of high character, I am deeply disappointed in playing in the same cesspool of politics as one of his Primary opponents. Why?

Bingo, Roger! I have challenged the Raja campaign on this, but it is clear that the negative campaigning is deemed to work and will continue. I would point out that much of the slime-slinging emanates from the distortion artists of the State Republican Party, not the Raja campaign, but Raja has not decried it. A person of principle would. I am in exactly your position, having supported Raja in the past and feeling revulsion over how unfairly and contemptibly he was treated by his despicable primary election opponent, Mark Mustio, who has demonstrated that he is unworthy of any position of public trust. It is unconscionable that Raja the oppressed has become Raja the oppressor. I am leaning strongly toward Matt Smith in the General Election, someone I know and consider to be bright, talented, not the money-waster he is touted as, and last but not least, honorable. I have neither seen nor heard any negative spot from the Smith campaign. If I did, I would be criticizing him as I have Raja.

Here's your options people, Raja who is a reformer that isn't a career politician and who brings a fresh perspective, OR Matt Smith who is a Harrisburg politician that lied about taking a pension, voted for raising taxes on small businesses, and has voted for over 5 billion in new spending INCLUDING the Arlen Spectar Library AND funding for Jerry Sandusky's 2nd mile. YES THIS IS A VERIFIABLE FACT, MATT SMITH VOTED TO FUND JERRY SANDUSKY'S CHARITY AFTER THE ALLEGATIONS HAD BEEN MADE- Matt is too busy running for House, Senate, and being a full time attorney to read the legislation he's voting for OR he's so far in the back pockets of Education Unions that it's blinding. Please check for yourself and your own two eyes (Act 130 12/19/2011) (Capitol Budgets 2009-2011) .
