The total cost for all upgrades and repairs is expected to be about $44,000, Sirabella said. They also hope to replace the public works garage, which could cost about $125,000.

Commissioner George Macino hopes the upgrades to the community room at the municipal complex will bring in new groups who want to use it.

“That room downstairs is a great venue and we need to get that out to the public,” Macino said.

Sirabella agreed about trying to promote the downstairs community room to Collier residents and organizations.

“We’re going to be using that room quite a lot,” Sirabella said.
