Collier Officials to Review Prestley Heights Plan After Flood Concerns

Residents were concerned about water runoff and flooding last week in the Cubbage Hill area.

Collier Township officials plan to review the Prestley Heights planned residential development after receiving complaints of water runoff and flooding after the July 10 storms.

According to a report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, residents of the Cubbage Hill area last week told Collier officials they were concerned about water runoff and flooding in their neighborhood, and how it could be affected by the development.

Commissioners unanimously voted against development at that location in 2004, but plans for the development continued after owner and developer Hiroo Patel filed and won a land use appeal in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court in 2005.
