Collier Firefighters Planning CPR Class

Collier Township Board of Commissioners met Wednesday night.

The fire departments in Collier Township are thinking about having a CPR training class because the procedure has changed and no longer includes chest compressions in the process.

The class was going to be scheduled in late February, but no date has been set. Another option the department is discussing is having a health fair which would include the class, as well as, offer stations to check blood pressure and other health issues sometime in late March at the Nike Site.

The departments, which brought the idea of the class to the attention of the township commissioners during Collier’s monthly meeting Wednesday night, are unsure what the community response would be due to lack of advertising.
